Aaric Roar

Renji Taijiya, a half Hingan Viera actually inhereted the name Aaric Roar. Born to a lesser known clan of monster slayers, Renji learned the ways of the samurai from a young age. He excelled at the blade so much that he was kidnapped and taken from his home at a young age from Garlean Imperial invaders.Renji was Subjected to all kinds of experiments to create the perfect soldier. He was infused with aether from the lifestream and in this experiment, his eyes changed color and his subconscious was linked to a shade of another realm; where his counterpart was a first class candidate for the ShinRa SOLDIER program. He often confuses the memories of his counterpart with his own as he was forced to fight as a soldier for the Garlean Empire.After witnessing so much world devastation, Renji fled to Ishgard where he arrived in the midst of the Dragonsong War. Meeting a battleworn highlander named Aaric Roar, the two became as brothers in service to House Fortempts. In the gruesome attack, Aaric Roar was mortally wounded; and Renji took on his friend's name to commemorate his deeds as a guardian to the free peoples everywhere from tyranny.Now reborn Aaric Roar looked to the rebellion in Gyr Abania, Doma, and Bozja. He dedicated much of his time as a freedom fighter before retiring from the war front to become a wandering sellsword and hired hunter. He has dedicated his current time to the Loreseeker's Trust of Ishgard, and as a mentor in the wolves den.
